People with Special Needs and Artificial Intelligence
The field of care and education for people with special needs has witnessed remarkable development with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. These technologies have contributed to providing innovative solutions that support early diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, individualized education, and social inclusion. AI provides intelligent tools capable of analyzing behavioral and cognitive data, predicting individual needs, and designing educational and rehabilitation programs tailored to each individual's abilities. AI also contributes to improving alternative and augmentative communication methods, developing interactive educational applications, and creating assistive technologies that enhance independence and quality of life for people with special needs. Despite these advantages, several challenges arise related to the ethics of use, privacy protection, and ensuring equitable access to these technologies.
This seminar concludes by emphasizing the importance of employing AI responsibly and in a manner that is integrated with educational and psychological efforts, thereby contributing to the empowerment of people with special needs and enhancing their opportunities for education and community participation .
