The Department of Psychology at the College of Humanities – University of Duhok was established in 2019 in response to the growing need for specialists capable of understanding human behavior and analyzing mental processes based on contemporary scientific principles. The department is one of the key academic units dedicated to preparing scientifically and professionally qualified personnel by providing advanced educational programs grounded in the latest theories and practices across various fields of psychology.

1.Provide students with fundamental concepts, theories, and practices in psychology.
2.Train students to understand psychological, behavioral, and emotional processes using an objective scientific approach.
3.Develop students’ skills in applying psychological research methods and analyzing behavioral data.
4.Prepare graduates qualified to work in fields such as: Psychological counseling، Clinical psychology، Educational psychology، Psychological and social service centers
