The Importance of Minority Heritage: A Field Visit to (Lalish Temple)
Under the framework of continuous dedication to minority heritage and as part of the "Transition" project, students from the Archaeology Department conducted a field trip today to Lalish Temple. The visit focused on the intricate details of the temple's intangible heritage, including:
- Rituals and ceremonies.
- Customs and traditions.
- Festivals and celebrations.
- Traditional clothing and folk cuisine.
- Folk music deeply rooted in the cultural legacy of the site.
During the trip, several scientific discussions took place aimed at raising awareness among archaeology students regarding the importance of preserving both tangible and intangible heritage. The discussions emphasized their vital role in protecting cultural identity and civilizational diversity.
Note of Thanks: We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Luqman for his warm hospitality and his dedicated efforts in making this visit a success.
