On May 14, 2026, the Department of Geography organized a scientific field trip under the supervision of Dr. Chinar Muhsin Hassan, accompanied by a group of faculty members from the department. The trip was directly linked to the curriculum of "Human Geography of Iraq and Kurdistan" and included visits to several tourist and geographic sites in the Duhok Governorate, namely: (Zawita, Swaratuka, Ashawa, Sarsang, Inishke Cave, Qubahan School, Amadiya Gate, and Sulav).

During the trip, students were asked various subject-related questions regarding these areas, and their immediate responses were collected on-site by the professors in the form of field reports.

Additionally, the students closely observed several physical phenomena characteristic of the mountainous regions in the Duhok and Amadiya districts. These observations connected directly to the physical geography topics covered during the autumn semester, including: (topography/relief, water resources, and natural vegetation).
