Workshop Title:Graduates of the Department of History and the Labor Market
Introduction:
Academic programs in every department constitute the fundamental pillar for the development of that discipline. Therefore, it is essential to update and adapt these programs in accordance with contemporary social, economic, and technological developments, in a way that aligns with the rapid transformations of our present era.Over a long period of time, Departments of History in the universities of the Region—according to our knowledge—have not undergone substantial changes in their curricula. They continue to rely on a traditional classical approach, both in program content and teaching methods. Moreover, these departments have not sufficiently adapted to the requirements of modern life. This reality has had a direct impact on graduates of the Department of History, particularly in the labor market. Many of them—after completing their studies and obtaining their degrees—do not find a clear benefit from their specialization in various fields of employment.
