My general specialization is Medical Microbiology, specifically Bacteriology. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Biology (Microbiology) in 2005 and then worked as a demonstrator at the University of Duhok, College of Medicine, Department of Anatomy and Histology, for five years.
Later, I was accepted into a master's program and received a master's degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Duhok, College of Medicine (2009) for my thesis titled "Procalcitonin Expression in Human Cord Blood Mononuclear Cells as a Marker of Bacterial Infection Estimated by ELISA and RT-PCR Techniques." I began my work as an assistant lecturer by giving practical lectures, and subsequently, I published one research paper.
I was then accepted into a PhD program and received a Doctorate in the field of Medical Microbiology from the University of Duhok, College of Medicine (2024) for my dissertation titled "Molecular Characterization of Antibiotic Resistance and Virulence Genes in Enterococci Isolates from Clinical Samples in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq."
Currently, I am a lecturer and have participated with my colleagues in small group teaching for third-stage students in the field of the Infection and Immunity module. In addition to theory lectures, I also participate in the Respiratory module (S4) for second-stage students, both in theory and small group settings. Moreover, I am planning to conduct research and participate in presenting seminars and workshops that aim to develop our intellectual and scientific capabilities within our field of specialization.
